About Laptop Connect
Laptop Connect Wireless was set up by two Melbourne professionals wanting to make life a little easier when it came to travelling and needing broadband. The realisation that there was a need for short-term wireless broadband hire came after:
- Only getting 1 hour of value from a 24 hour hotel Internet connection on more than one occasion.
- Having a period of no Internet access at home while moving and waiting for a permanent connection.
- Paying a small fortune for Internet access while attending an expo, then paying again at a hotel.
- Receiving holiday updates from family visiting Australia, with an opening sentence of ‘we have only just found an Internet café’.
With limited options available for those in need of wireless broadband short-term, the concept became clear.
The model was developed to make short-term broadband access like an Internet café or hotel connection that can be taken with you. The biggest difference is flexibility. Allowing customers to take the connection with them, means they can get the most out of their rental dollar and be more productive with their time.
